Ali Squalli Houssaini (born 1932 in Fez) was the author of the lyrics of the National anthem of Morocco, Hymne Chérifien, in 1970.[1] He is also the author of numerous books.[citation needed] In 1992, he received the international prize of King Faisal of Saudi Arabia in children's literature.[citation needed]
