Karen McCombie is a Scottish author of children's books and young adult novels.[1] McCombie has published more than 100 books.[citation needed] In 2021, Waterstones described her as "one of children's fiction's most accomplished authors".[2]
Life
[edit]McCombie was born in Aberdeen, Scotland.[citation needed] Growing up, her favorite book series was Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House series.[3] McCombie wrote her first book at age 34, at which time she was working as a magazine journalist.[3]
She lives in London with her husband Tom, and their son Eddy.[citation needed]
