Alterian, Inc is a makeup and special effects company owned by Tony Gardner, whose makeup effects on Johnny Knoxville's character for the film Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa were nominated for both an Academy Award for Best Makeup & Hairstyling and a Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist Guild Award in 2013. The makeup effects work won the Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist Guild Award for Best Special Makeup Effects in the Feature Film category.[1]

Alterian, Inc. is known for their work with Daft Punk, helping create the musicians' signature helmets,[2] and associate producing Daft Punk's first feature film, Daft Punk's Electroma.
