Amanur Rahman Khan Rana is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the present member of parliament from Tangail.[1] Rana, along with 13 others, is accused of killing Awami League politician Faruk Ahmed who was found dead in Tangail town on 18 January 2013.[2]

Career

Rana Contest the Tangail parliamentary election after the death of his uncle, the member of parliament from that constituency, Shamsur Rahman Khan Shahjahan. He contested as an independent candidate as he did not receive the Awami League nomination. He won the Tangail-3 elections on 18 November 2012.[3]

Rana and three of his siblings are accused of the murder of a local Awami League politician Faruk Ahmed.[4][5]
