Ameer Abulola (1592–1651)[1] also known as Syedna Ameer Abul Ula Naqshbandi Ahrari was an Indian Sufi saint Naqshbandi order.[2] He is the founder of Abulolai branch of Naqshbandi order.[3][4][5] He had served as the Administrator of Burdwan, Bengal during the reign of Akbar.[6] He was a descendant of Khwaja Obaidullah Ahrar.[7][8]
Biography
[edit]Abulola was born at Narela, Delhi in 1592 to Ameer Abul Wafa and Begum Bibi Aarifa. He was a descendant of Imam Zainul Abedeen from father side and Abu Bakr Siddique from mother side.[9]
He used Insaan as his Takhallus.[9]
His maternal grandfather Khwaja Faizi was Administrator of Burdwan, Bengal and the predecessor of Abulola as the Administrator.[10]
