Amerila vitrea is a moth of the Arctiidae family. It was described by Plötz in 1880. It is found in Angola, Benin, Burkina Fasso, Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Gambia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.[1]
