Born in Serbia, Ana Sokolovic is a Montreal composer whose contemporary pieces have won several awards in Canada. Her music has been performed at London’s Royal Opera House and Montreal’s Conservatory of Music. A recent commission makes Sokolovic the first woman composer to create an operatic work for the Canadian Opera Company.[1][2][3][4]
