Anaijambad is a village situated 3 km away from Purulia town in the Indian state of West Bengal. It comes under the Purulia municipality.

History

Contains ancient Jain temples ruins and sculptures which can be seen. Some of them have been reinstalled in a recently constructed temple. This village is famous for its Jain temples. The relics of Parswanath and Chandraprabha bearing the mark of Pala era are within the temple.

Anaijambad is located at 23°20′N 86°31′E / 23.33°N 86.51°E / 23.33; 86.51.

Transportation

The nearest Railway station is 11 km away at Purulia. Anaijambad is connected by road with all the major cities of the state and region via Purulia.

Education

The village has one government run school namely Anai jambad PSDJ J.
