Andreas Poulsen (born 13 October 1999) is a Danish footballer who plays as a left-back for Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Club career

FC Midtjylland

Poulsen started his career in the local football club, Ikast KFUM, where he played as young. He made his professional debut in the Danish Superliga for FC Midtjylland on 1 December 2016 in a game against Silkeborg IF, where he played the whole game on the left back.[1]

Poulsen won the 'Academy Player of The Year' price at FC Midtjylland for the 2017/18 campaign.[2] Poulsen made his full debut for FC Midtjylland at only 17 years old in the 2017/18 season. He went on to play a key role that season for FC Midtjylland and helped them win the league title. It was a great feat for a player so young as he was. Poulsen was one of FC Midtjylland's best players and he went on to attract huge interest from some of the best clubs in Europe.

Borussia Mönchengladbach

After a great 2017/18 campaign for Poulsen with 12 games played for the first team, Poulsen was sold to Borussia Mönchengladbach for 4,5 million euros which could further increase to 6,7 million euros. This made him the most expensive teenager in Danish football history.[3] Poulsen signed a 5-year contract with the German club.
