Andreolepis hedei is an extinct prehistoric fish, living around 420 million years ago.[1] Although Andreolepis was generally regarded as a primitive actinopterygiian based on its ganoid scale structure, some new research regards it as a stem group of osteichthyans.[2]
It inhabited what is now Russia, Sweden, Estonia, and Latvia.[3]
