Andrew Matthews-Owen

Andrew Matthews-Owen is a Welsh pianist and accompanist, born in Neath, [[Wales], now residing in London. He is known for his work with some of the UK's leading singers, both on the concert platform and on recordings and broadcasts for BBC Radio 3; including Claire Booth, Susan Bickley, Susan Bullock, Lucy Crowe, Anne Sophie Duprels, Rebecca Evans (soprano), Helen Field, Natalya Romaniw, Nicky Spence, Elin Malayan Thomas and Sir Willard White.[1][better source needed]

Matthews-Owen is acknowledged as a passionate exponent of contemporary music, giving many first performances by eminent composers from Jonathan Dove, Alun Hoddinott and Michael Berkeley to Augusta Read Thomas, Hannah Kendall and Charlotte Bray, among many others. He serves on the professorial staff at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.[2]
