Dr Andrew James Murray (born 1978 in Newport, South Wales) was educated at Caerleon Comprehensive School and Christ Church, University of Oxford. He is currently a University Lecturer in Physiology at the University of Cambridge[1] and a Fellow of Trinity Hall, Cambridge.[2] His research is primarily focused on the metabolic adaptation of tissues such as heart, skeletal muscle and placenta to low oxygen levels (hypoxia) and metabolic disease states such as diabetes and obesity.
