Andy Allen MLA is a unionist politician in Northern Ireland. He is a member of the Ulster Unionist Party.

Biography

He is an MLA in the Northern Ireland Assembly for Belfast East. He was co-opted to replace Michael Copeland, who had resigned his seat due to health reasons.[1] He was elected in his own right on the 5th May 2016

He is a veteran of the War in Afghanistan, and was left a double above knee amputee and partially blind as a result of a Taliban Improvised Explosive Device (I.E.D) attack in Helmand.[2]
