Animation departments are departments that use for making animation and step-by step making by a group or incorporation. This method usually use at making a high quality animation wherein the animators are supposed to be using computers and graphical devices that use to make animation. All departments are important because of its relationship between the animation making and the animation serial playing.
Etymology
Animation comes from the word Animatio while Department comes from the word Departement from a French word Departir.
Since the animation was discovered the Animation Departments use for making animation since 1987 where animators use this technique for making a high definition motion that comes within a self-portrait.
Departments
• Retake Department- it is a department that use to look for mistakes of the animation and have its redone all over again. An animator will be checking all drawings or sketching in order to have a good look at the final animation.
• Animation Department- the department where animators bring the character into life and motion.
• D.I.P and Compositing Department- special effects and instructions and specifications can be done and executed. Chroma Key and Backlighting is one of the examples of this department.
• In-betweening Department- draws the sequence of frames between the animators key drawing following the animators style of line movements and characterization.
• Editing Department- A department wherein the artist puts ON MODEL animators key rough drawings and giving quality lines of a specific style needed for the show and the animation.
• Background Department- The penciled scanned digitally and manually painted backgrounds were passed to this department.
• Storyboard Department- it is a department which story was being made. Stories that used to make animation for the sequence of its real concepts.
• Scanning Department- In this department all drawings will be scanned in order to know what is missing and what is there already.
• Sound Effects and Musical Scoring Department- a department that creates soundtracks and sound effects by their own. Choirs and instrumental devices use for making sound effects.
• Layout Department- They draw the overall composition of each scene in order to have a series play and putting all scenes in one movie editor.
