The Annual Review of Biophysics is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Annual Reviews covering all aspects of biophysics. It appears annually in June. As of 2013, the editor-in-chief is Ken A. Dill (Stony Brook University).[1]

According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2013 impact factor of 12.250, ranking it first out of 74 journals in the category "Biophysics".[2]

History

The journal was established in 1972 as Annual Review of Biophysics and Bioengineering (1972–1984), and subsequently changed its title to Annual Review of Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry (1985–1991) and Annual Review of Biophysics and Biomolecular Structure (1992–2007), acquiring its current title in 2008. The founding editor was Manuel Morales.[3]
