Auston Trusty (born August 12, 1998) is an American soccer player who plays for Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer.

Career

Trusty signed to play with United Soccer League side Bethlehem Steel FC in 2016 on an amateur contract to allow him to still be eligible to play college soccer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, whom he'd verbally agreed to join after graduating high school. [1][2] Despite the verbal agreement, Trusty would not attend college, instead focusing on his professional career.

His efforts were rewarded midway through the 2016 season when Trusty signed a Homegrown Player contract with Philadelphia Union on August 10, 2016.[3] He would be the second homegrown signing of 2016, following fellow Bethlehem Steel FC teammate, Derrick Jones.
