Bălești is a commune in Gorj County, Romania. It is composed of nine villages: Bălești, Ceauru, Cornești, Găvănești, Rasova, Stolojani, Tălpășești, Tămășești and Voinigești.

The commune's Church of the Holy Archangels dates to 1679.
