BAFTA in Scotland is the Scottish branch of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Formed in 1989, the branch holds an annual awards ceremony, the British Academy Scotland Awards (formerly known as the BAFTA Scotland Awards), to recognise achievement by performers and production staff in Scottish film, television and video games. These Awards are separate from the British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Film Awards.

British Academy Scotland Awards

The 2012 British Academy Scotland Awards took place on 18 November 2012. Awards were handed out in 12 diverse categories ranging from Animation to TV Drama and Acting categories. It is currently considered Scotland's largest film awards event.
