Babia Góra [ˈbabja ˈɡura] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Narewka, within Hajnówka County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland, close to the border with Belarus.[1] It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-east of Narewka, 28 km (17 mi) north-east of Hajnówka, and 55 km (34 mi) south-east of the regional capital Białystok.

It is in one of five Polish/Belarusian bilingual Gmina in Podlaskie Voivodeship regulated by the Act of 6 January 2005 on National and Ethnic Minorities and on the Regional Languages, which permits certain gminas with significant linguistic minorities to introduce a second, auxiliary language to be used in official contexts alongside Polish.[2]
