Balasaheb Bhausaheb Thorat (Marathi: बाळासाहेब भाऊसाहेब थोरात) (7 Feb 1953), is a leader of farmers and Indian National Congress legislator. He is well known in the cooperative movement, as the founder of the Milk Cooperative, and former president of the Sangamner District and State Cooperative Bank. He is recognized for his constructive work in Sangamner taluka and Akole taluka. He has founded cooperative educational institutions in Sangamner. Previously, he served as Minister of Agriculture and as Minister of Revenue, and Khar Lands in the Government of Maharashtra.[1]

- Organization of various shivirs [workshops] for social awareness about government schemes under government at your-door-step Yojana
- Conducted survey of every wadi [villages] in order to properly deliver the benefits of Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana to the right people. Completed the works of new ration cards, nomination of land, etc.
- Conducted study of overall handicaps in the taluka and provided three wheelers, crutches, spectacles, Jaipur foots, etc. through Government Personal Benefit Yojana
