41°05′N 29°03′E / 41.083°N 29.050°E / 41.083; 29.050 Baltalimanı is a bay and neighborhood near the European coast of Bosporus, in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, Turkey. The name means "axe port" in Turkish ("balta", axe + "liman", port).

The bay is famous for the Treaty of Balta Liman, signed between The United Kingdom and the Ottoman Empire on May 1, 1849.
