Baluni was a region and family of the old Armenia c. 400–800.

The ruler about 445 was Varazchapuh Baluni; in 451 Arzak Baluni and Varaz Chapuh; in 480 Phapal Baluni; and in 605 Varaz Baluni.

Baluni is family tree found in India, mostly in garwal. They are Kasyap Hindu Brahmins, they were said to migrated from Rajasthan. They are well educated and well established families.
