Bangladesh Jute Mills corporation or BJMC, is a public corporation that owns and manages all government jutt mills in Bangladesh and is located in Dhaka.[1][2]
History
The corporation was formed in 1972 when the government of Bangladesh nationalised all the Jute Mills in the country.[1] It manages Adamjee Jute Mills.[3] It is responsible for nine state ru jute mills in Bangladesh.[4] It is a loss making concern of the company.[5] Team BJMC is a professional football team of the corporation.[6] In 2016 the government announced plans to upgrade the jute mills spending 340 million USD with Chinese assistance.[7]
