Paramasivum Pillay "Barlen" Vyapoory is a Mauritian politician who has served as vice president of Mauritius since 2016.[1] Vyapoory previously served as High Commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius to South Africa. Vyapoory has been a member of the Tamil League since 1969, and has served as President of that organization on several occasions.[2] He is a member of the Militant Socialist Movement.

Upon being sworn in, Vyapoory stated he will "work for the development of the country."[3]
