Beato (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈbjatu]) is a Portuguese parish (freguesia) in the municipality of Lisbon. The population in 2011 was 12,737,[1] in an area of 2.46 km².[2] It was created in 1756 with the designation of São Bartolomeu do Beato.
