Benjamin Ferguson (politician)

Benjamin Ferguson (February 14, 1820 – ?) was an American politician and farmer from Fox Lake, Wisconsin, who served a single two-year term (1860–61) as a Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Senate from the 22nd District.[1] He was succeeded by Thomas R. Hudd.

Background

Born in Penobscot, Maine, Ferguson moved to Fox Lake, Wisconsin Territory in 1844 and was a farmer. In 1852, Ferguson was elected sheriff of Dodge County, Wisconsin and also served on the Dodge County Board of Supervisors.[2]
