Bhale Thammudu (English: Bravo Younger brother) is a 1969 Telugu Action Crime film, produced by A. Pundarikakshaiah under the Tarakarama Pictures banner and directed by B. A. Subba Rao. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao and K. R. Vijaya in the lead roles, with music composed by T. V. Raju. It is a remake of the Hindi film China Town (1962).

Plot

The film begins with Inspector Prasad (Mikkiilineni) sentencing deadly gangsters of a dangerous gang. The gang wants to take revenge against him, so, their chief Ganapathi / Gun (Rajanala) kills him and also kidnaps one of his twin sons, Ram Prasad. Ram grows up among these criminals by the name Paul (N. T. Rama Rao) and becomes a daredevil gangster. Once in a robbery, Paul was caught by police. Inspector Sekhar (Prabhakar Reddy) hides him secretly and tries to interrogate him to get the truth out, but he is not ready to reveal their secrets even after a lot of torture. Shaam Prasad (again N. T. Rama Rao) the younger one, brought up by his mother (Sriranjani Jr.), is an intelligent guy who works as a club singer and loves Geetha (K. R. Vijaya) daughter of Rao Saheb (Relangi). Rao Saheb comes to know regarding this, so, he takes his daughter to Hyderabad. Shaam also reaches there and goes to Geetha’s house. Rao Saheb gets him arrested. Inspector Shekar observers the resemblance between Paul and Shaam offers him the C.I.D. job and decides to send him as Paul to the smuggling gang. Shaam tells his mother about Paul, then she recollects her elder son Ram Prasad kidnapped by robbers. She goes to jail and recognizes him, but Paul rejects her. Now Shaam gets ready to take up the job. Police spread a rumour that Paul became an approver, Gun sends his acolytes to kill him. But Shaam as Paul fights with them and says that he has not turned into approver to reach the gang. Everyone in the gang believes Shaam as Paul, except Paul's lover Leela (Vijaya Girija), who doubts his character and finds out that he is not the real Paul. Then Shaam reveals the truth, asks her to help him and she agrees. Gun listens to everything and he captures Shaam. Meanwhile, Paul’s health deteriorates; while he was being taken to the hospital, the ambulance meets with an accident. Geeta protects him thinking him as Shaam, Paul takes her to the den when he comes to know the cheating of Shaam. In anger, he beats him very badly, when he is about to kill him, Leela stops him and tells him the entire truth. Paul repents a lot for his behaviour. Shaam consoles him. At last, both the brothers are united, see the end of Gun and get him arrested. Ram / Paul also surrenders and is sentenced to 6 months. Finally, Ram is released from jail, Shaam becomes a police officer and the movie ends with the marriages of Ram & Leela and Shaam & Geetha.
