Lt. Gen. Bhopinder Singh (Hindi: लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल भोपिंदर सिंह; born 20 March 1946 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh), a PVSM awardee Indian Army officer. He was the former military secretary to president K.R Narayanan from 24-11-97 to 24-07-02 and to President A.P.J Abdul Kalam from 25-07-02 to 15-11-02. He was the former defense attaché from India to Ethiopia. He was the former Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Following the resignation of Mukut Mithi as Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Singh was appointed to replace him on March 13, 2008 and sworn in on March 15.[1]

He is an alumnus of the NDA. He currently resides in Chandigarh along with his wife Smt. Bhawanee Singh who is the accomplished author of two culinary books.
