The New Testament was translated into the Nepali language in 1821 by Carey's Serampore mission. The complete Bible was translated by Newari pastor Ganga Prasad Pradhan in 1914. Jehovah's Witnesses released पवित्र बाइबल—नयाँ संसार अनुवाद, a translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures (the New Testament) in modern Nepali in 2010.
