William James "Billy" Clayson (12 July 1897 – 1973) was an English footballer.

He played for Northampton Compton, Wellingborough Town, Brentford, Crewe Alexandra, Barnsley, Chesterfield, Scarborough, Torquay United, York City and Scarborough Junior Imperial.[1]
