The Birla Public School now known as Vidya Niketan is a private boarding school located in Pilani, Rajasthan, India. This school was founded by Birla educational trust in 1944 as a Montessori school by Dr Maria Monteserri , then it was known as Shishu Mandir. It has been divided into three sections named as Junior Section, Middle Section and Senior section.

Alumni

The alumni of the school include General Vijay Kumar Singh the ex-chief of the Indian army, Vinod Rai, a former Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Dr Sunil Gupta MD practicing Gastroenterology at New York and S.L. Shegal the founder of Motherson Sumi Systems. And A.S [IAS].
