The Blakely and Southern Railroad has one of the briefest existence of any railroad line that actually operated track. It was chartered in 1911 and was built in 1911-12, the railroad went bankrupt and was completely abandoned by 1914. The railroad had only one locomotive, one freight car, and one passenger car. It operated a 22-mile line between Blakely, GA and Jakin, GA.
