Bludovský hrad[1][2][3] (literally The Bludov Castle) was a mediaeval residence and fortifications. In the 19th century, ruins were used as a building material of new paved road from Bludov via Bludoveček to Šumperk.

History

Bludovský hrad was established by Blud z Bludova. Place was fortified by Blud III in the 13th century. The castle was destroyed by the Hungarian army during Bohemian War (1468-1478).

Presence

Just few structural elements like cellars and moats have been preserved. A farm which was supplying the castle is known as Bludoveček nowadays. Today is owned by the descendants of the founder, house of Mornstein-Zierotin.
