Bogensee is a lake in Berlin, Germany bordered by Wandlitz, Prenden and Klosterfelde in the state of Brandenburg, about 15 km north of Berlin. The oval shaped lake, a relic of the last ice age, covers an area of approximately 9,300 m², and is 180m in width (west to east) and 300m in length (south to north). The maximum depth is given as 2.5m.[1]

There are no buildings, paths or beaches directly on the banks of the lake, however the nearby estate of Joseph Goebbels, located approximately 500m northwest of the shore, was used by him and Party officials during Nazi Germany, and later by government organisations in the GDR.
