Botnneset Peninsula
Appearance
Botnneset Peninsula (69°44′S 37°35′E / 69.733°S 37.583°E) is a mainly ice-covered peninsula between Fletta Bay and Djupvika along the south side, or "bottom," of Lutzow-Holm Bay. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and named "Botnneset" (the bottom promontory). Austhovde Headland forms the eastern elevated portion of the peninsula.
