C-DAC Hyderabad is the Hyderabad, India branch of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).[1] It is a knowledge centre with the components of knowledge creation, knowledge dissemination, knowledge application to grow in the areas of research & development, training and business respectively. The R&D areas of the centre are e-security, embedded systems, ubiquitous computing, e-learning, ESDM, and ICT for development.

Achievements

The centre has developed over a period of time a number of products and solutions, such as EnSafe, RealSafe, e-Sikshak, e-Savya, CET Automation Tool, and the Quality Assurance Analytics Tool for e-learning and other applications. The centre has established a number of laboratories in various technologies, including e-Suraksha Concept Lab, Malware Resource Centre, Ubiquitous Research Centre, and Walk-in e-learning Technology Laboratory. The centre has also been involved in ICT for development through its multilingual "vikaspedia.in" Web Portal. The centre has also taken initiative for creating mass awareness in information security.

Postgraduate education

The centre offers Post Graduate level diploma courses in the areas of Network Security, Embedded Systems, VLSI, System Software Development, and Advanced Business Computing.

  • Electronic System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM): Wireless and high-speed networking, industrial electronics, medical electronics, electronic packaging and industrial design.
  • System software: e-Security, U-Security, grid computing.
  • Web technologies: e-Learning, U-Learning, Supply Chain Management (SCM).
  • Social sector: Vikaspedia (India Development Gateway (InDG)).
  • Education and training: PG Diploma & Certificate programmes, Information Security Education & Awareness (ISEA).
