C. N. Sreekantan Nair (1928–1976) was a Malayalam writer and playwright.

He is probably best known for his Ramayana trilogy – Kanchana Sita, Saketham and Lankalakshmi – based on the epic Ramayana.[1][2] Poet and scholar Ayyappa Panicker had observed that Lankalakshmi brought out the playwright in Sreekantan Nair, while Saketham and Kanchana Sita highlighted the poet and the philosopher in the playwright.[3] He received the Kendra Sahitya Academy Award in 1962 for Kanchana Sita. It was later adapted into a film with same name by G. Aravindan.[4] His another major work was Nashtakkachavadam which won the M. P. Paul prize.

Sreekantan Nair experimented successfully with stage direction and concepts of theatre.[5] He has also written some short stories.
