Cache IQ, Inc. was an Austin, Texas, US-based network computing startup company which created the first inline caching appliance for network-attached storage (NAS).[1] Founded in 2010, the company was headed by a veteran IT management team including former NetQoS CEO Joel Trammell.[2] The company was reported to have received [US$]]5 million in initial funding from angel investors.[3] According to InformationWeek, Cache IQ came out of stealth mode in September 2011.[4]
NetApp acquired Cache IQ in November 2012.
