Calamos Asset Management (NASDAQ: CLMS) is a diversified global investment firm offering innovative investment strategies including U.S. growth equity, global equity, convertible, multi-asset and alternatives. The firm offers strategies through separately managed portfolios, mutual funds, closed-end funds, private funds, an exchange traded fund and UCITS funds. Clients include major corporations, pension funds, endowments, foundations and individuals, as well as the financial advisors and consultants who serve them. Headquartered in the Chicago metropolitan area, the firm also has offices in London, New York and San Francisco.[1]

History

Calamos began as a boutique investment manager in the 1970s, developing strategies that maximized the potential of convertible securities to generate excess returns and manage risk.[2]

Calamos employs more than 300 individuals in Naperville, Illinois,[3] as well as sales and client service professionals located throughout the United States and in England.[4][5] John Calamos, Sr., is the Chairman, and Chief Investment Officer,[6] John S. Koudounis is Chief Executive Officer [7]
