The Calderdale Royal Hospital is a hospital situated in the English town of Halifax. It is located in the suburb of Salterhebble and provides general services, emergency services and some specialist services.

It was opened to patients in April 2001, and was officially opened by HRH Princess Anne on 15 March 2004. It was one of the first hospitals in the UK to be built under the Private Finance Initiative. The estimated cost, in 1994, was that a new, single site hospital with 614 beds would cost £34.85 million to build. By 2001 according to Graham Johnson, manager of the Catalyst consortium which built and now services and maintains the hospital, the cost had risen to £103 million,[1] leasing it back to Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust.

Clinical services are provided by the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, with other ancillary services provided by Lend Lease Group and ISS A/S.[2] It shares some staff and facilities with the nearby Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, which is run by the same NHS hospital trust.

Proposals to close the Accident and Emergency Department in February 2016 provoked a demonstration of 5000 people in Huddersfield and a petition signed by 60,000 people.[3]
