Cape Umoya United Football Club is a South African football club based in Cape Town, South Africa that currently plays in the National First Division. They were re-established in 2018 following the takeover of defunct, former PSL team, Platinum Stars F.C..

The club was reformed after a Cape Town based group purchased the franchise rights of defunct Platinum Stars F.C.. Based in the North West province of Phokeng, the Platinum Stars team was relocated and re-birthed in Cape Town. Cape Umoya United F.C. was announced in Cape Town, mid 2018. They are currently playing in 2018–19 National First Division, following Platinum Stars' relegation in the 2017-2018 PSL season.[1]
