Renovation

Tower was in desperate need of restoration, and in 2016, restoration project has began. The architect behind the project was Carlos Quevado. The tower was renewed intensively, with mostly negatice reactions of the public. Spain’s cultural heritage organization Hispania nostra responded by calling the project “absolutely terrible.”.[4][5]
