This is a list of individuals who have died as a result of cancer of unknown primary origin. Despite the generic-sounding name, "CUP" is a specific cancer diagnosis that requires extensive testing. Individuals should only be placed in this category if a reliable source reports that they died from a cancer in which doctors attempted to but could not identify a primary tumor, and not for people whose cancer type is unknown. Use Category:Deaths from cancer instead when you don't know what kind of cancer was involved.
