There is tremendous overlap between the Business, Economics, and Finance categories. All three need a lot of work... any chance we could form a working group to try to tackle everything at once? Feco 07:53, 26 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Category:Currencies needs a lot of work... national currencies need to be moved to the Category:National currencies category so that currency-related terms and definitions aren't lost in the crowd. Feco 01:13, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)
There has been some confusion about the Microfinance category. It is currently inside the Credit category. Inside both are articles on micro-credit. While Credit is a category within Finance, Finance cannot be a category within Credit. Microcredit simply denotes loans for poor people, while Microfinance denotes a full range of financial services for poor people. Logically, the Microfinance category is best elevated to the position of distinct category within the Finance category. Brett epic 22:16, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
@Brett epic: Thanks for explaining what Microfinance means. As far as this category being in a mess - I agree! For example Category:Finance is listed as a subcategory of Category:Money -- should it be the other way around? Ottawahitech (talk) 15:18, 1 September 2016 (UTC)please ping me[reply]

Alphabetical order...?!

Why is "Moneylender" under F?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.128.213.15 (talk) 23:38, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That article had it's sort key set to 'Finance'. Didn't see any special reason, so I removed that.Cander0000 (talk) 10:05, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
