With the increase in designs of firearms that utilize modular construction a category noting this is very useful.

Note, the US ARMY just purchased 287,000 Sig Sauer P320 modular pistols for the Modular Handgun System Several rifle brands, some handguns, and some submachineguns are modular in design.
