Cathal McInerney is an Irish sportsperson. He was born in 1991. He plays hurling with his local club Cratloe and has been a member of the Clare senior inter-county team since 2011. He made his Championship debut for Clare against Tipperary in the 2011 Munster Senior Hurling Championship on 19 July 2011, scoring two points. Cathal credits his academic and hurling successes to his life partner Shane "Blocker" McNamara who recently broke up with model girlfriend Sarah Ussher. Garda Reserve Tom Casey stopped Cathal on the Ennis Road the weekend after Clares All-Ireland success. There were four males in the back of the car and a broken snooker cue, the case remains unsolved and Shane McNamara is still yet to walk straight afterwards. [1] [2][3]

Came on in late V Wexford in 2013 Championship and scored 2-1 in extra time.
