Cedric James (born March 19, 1979 in Fort Worth, Texas) is a former American football player. He has been a member of the Minnesota Vikings,[1] Dallas Cowboys,[2] New England Patriots, and the Rhein Fire of the now-defunct NFL Europa.[3] James played college football at Texas Christian University and was drafted in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played in five games for the Vikings in the 2002 season.[1]
High school years
James attended Kennedale High School in Kennedale, Texas.[4] In football, he was a two-time All-District 11-3A selection and he finished his senior season with 27 receptions for 678 yards (25.11 yards per reception avg.)[4] and 11 touchdowns and rushed ten times for 155 yards (15.50 yards per rushing attempt avg.). He graduated in 1997.
