Celebes TV is a local news television station in Sulawesi. Celebes TV is in channel 31 UHF and published in six regencies / cities in South Sulawesi, namely Makassar, Maros, Pangkep, Barru, Gowa, Takalar, Pare-Pare and Jeneponto.
History
Celebes Tv didirikan tahun 2009 oleh jurnbalis televisi senior Husain Abdullah, Muannas, Muhammad Hasrul dan Kamaluddin Rahman. Semangat anak muda Makassar dan berlatar media televisi nasional, membuat Celebes TV lebih berwarna dan cepat diterima masyarakat Sulawesi Selatan.
Awalnya televisi ini bernama youth Tv karena saat Evaluasi Dengar Pendapat (EDP) di ruang humas kantor Gubernur Sulawesi selatan bertepatan hari sumpah pemuda 28 Oktober tahun 2009 lalu. Jelang mengudara nama televisi berubah menjadi Celebes TV atas usulan Muhammad Hasrul yang kemudian disetujui oleh Husain Abdullah.
Tahun pertama bersiaran televisi yang dikelola anak muda Makassar ini langsung menyabet 4 penghargaan KPID award di tahun 2010.
