The Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia (CGIE) is a major research institute based in Tehran, Iran. Established in 1983, it is charged with the task of researching and publishing general and topical encyclopedias about Iranian and Islamic culture.

The Center's website is located at [1] (Persian only) and there is a general introduction in English at [2] (English).
