Central District (Salmas County)

The Central District of Salmas County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان سلماس) is a district (bakhsh) in Salmas County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 150,256, in 34,974 families.[1] The District has two cities: Salmas and Tazeh Shahr. The District has four rural districts (dehestan): Kenarporuzh Rural District, Koreh Soni Rural District, Lakestan Rural District, and Zulachay Rural District.
